Steven Selna is a partner in the Commercial Litigation Practice Group and a member of the firm's Diversity Committee. His practice is focused on the national coordination and trial of complex product liability claims, intellectual property and business litigation matters, and employment cases.
Complex Litigation/Class Actions. Steven has represented pharmaceutical and medical device companies in complex mass tort litigation, including national and state class actions and multidistrict litigation. He has also represented some of these same clients in high profile employment litigation, including age and disability discrimination, wrongful termination and medical leave claims.
Intellectual Property/Business Litigation. Steven has represented emerging technology and institutional clients in trademark, patent, trade secrets and unfair competition litigation in complex, technical cases before state and federal courts in California. He has also handled numerous licensing disputes and counseled clients on their branding and other intellectual property strategies.
In General. Steven received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkeley. Before pursuing a law degree, he served as a legislative aide in the U.S. Congress. He received his J.D. from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. He is an active member of the International Association of Defense Counsel (IADC), the Intellectual Property Section of the American Bar Association, the California State Bar, the Bar Association of San Francisco (BASF) and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). |
