Experience
Steve, an experienced litigator, represents clients involved in real estate and complex business disputes. He has particular expertise in the areas of mortgages, deeds of trust, foreclosure and antideficiency issues, as well as guarantees and U.C.C. personal property-secured transactions. He works with all aspects of civil litigation and discovery through trial and appeal. Steve is also frequently called upon to act as a consultant for other California and out-of-state counsel on real estate secured transactions, foreclosures and U.C.C. personal property-secured transactions.
Prior to practicing law, Steve served as vice president of a company specializing in nonjudicial real estate foreclosures as trustee and agent for trustee. During this time, he personally handled all aspects of foreclosure proceedings, from recordation and service of Notice of Default through sale.
