Steven M. Kramer is Of Counsel in the Global Corporate Department of Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCloy LLP, specializing in electric power and other energy matters. Mr. Kramer is resident in Milbank's Washington, D.C. office.
Mr. Kramer's practice focuses on energy regulation and transactions, including energy industry restructuring, mergers and acquisitions, asset sales, project development, energy sales contracts, and energy rate and service issues. Mr. Kramer has worked in the field of energy law and regulation since 1987, both in private practice and at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). At the FERC, Mr. Kramer served as a law clerk for two Administrative Law Judges and was an attorney in the FERC's Office of General Counsel, Electric Rates and Corporate Regulation Section, where he was lead counsel and advised the Commission on a variety of electric utility regulatory issues. While in private practice, Mr. Kramer has represented clients on many complex energy regulation and transactional matters in both the electric power and natural gas areas.
Mr. Kramer is admitted to practice law in Washington, D.C., Maryland and Virginia, and is an active member of the Energy Bar Association, having served as a member of its Board of Directors, an officer, and on various committees.
Mr. Kramer graduated from the University of Richmond Law School in 1987 and earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland in 1982. |
