Steven L. Spinner is President and Chief Executive Officer. He was appointed to this position in October 2006 and previously held the position of President and COO. Prior to assuming that role in 2005, Mr. Spinner served as the Senior Vice President and CEO of the Company's broadline division. He also has served as the broadline Regional President. Mr. Spinner's foodservice distribution career began more than 20 years ago when he joined his family's business, AFI Foodservice in New Jersey. He joined PFG in 1997 when AFI-Foodservice was acquired by the company. During his tenure at AFI Foodservice, Mr. Spinner served in various roles including President and Vice President. Prior to joining AFI, he worked with IBM in New York City.
Mr. Spinner has a strong commitment to the community and serves on local boards for several non-profit organizations with focuses on education and the arts. He has also been instrumental in developing PFG's national partnership with America's Second Harvest. As part of the partnership, in 2005, PFG made a five-year commitment to America's Second Harvest affiliated food banks in communities across the country where PFG operates, to donate products, resources, and associate manpower.
