Biography
Steven L. Schonert, CPA has been with Kemper CPA Group LLP since April, 1981 and became a partner in October, 1986. Steve is currently the partner-in-charge of the Olney, Illinois office. Before joining Kemper CPA Group LLP, he worked as a CPA with Arthur Andersen & Co., in St. Louis, Missouri.
Steve has significant experience in areas ranging from municipalities and colleges (which include many federal and state grant programs), to banks and manufacturing companies. He has also served as partner-in-charge of the Firm's quality control department. The primary responsibilities in this position are to implement a system of quality control that meets the objectives of the quality control standards established by the AICPA and to see that the Firm complies with this system. Steve has been a past member of the ICPA Quality Review Report Acceptance committee.
Steve graduated from the University of Illinois with a bachelor of science in accountancy with high honors. He became a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Illinois in 1979.
