Steve Mahurin is responsible for leading True Value Company’s merchandising, import and inventory management functions.
Steve joined the cooperative in March 2004. Prior to joining True Value Company, Steve worked with the home-improvement giant, The Home Depot Inc. (Atlanta).
From 1989 to the beginning of 2002, Steve worked at Home Depot in several capacities. He began with the company as an assistant store manager in California and within a year was promoted into the merchandising ranks of Home Depot’s West Coast merchandising office. Steve then moved rapidly through the merchandising ranks, holding the positions of merchandiser, divisional merchandising manager and vice president of merchandising before attaining the position of senior vice president of merchandising in just 10 short years.
As a Senior Vice President of Merchandising, Steve was responsible for overseeing all of the merchandising functions for just over half of Home Depot’s then, $50+ billion home improvement business.
With more than 20 years of retail hardware/home improvement experience, Steve has the knowledge to help make True Value Company the leading merchandising and sales coop in the country. |
