Mr. Shapiro has been a business consultant since 2006. From October 2000 to April 2006 he served as executive vice president and chief financial officer of Burlington Resources Inc. During his five-year tenure at Burlington Resources Mr. Shapiro served as a member of the board of directors and the office of the chairman. Before that he served as senior vice president chief financial officer and director at Vastar Resources Inc. and spent 16 years in various roles of increasing responsibility with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO). Mr. Shapiro is a member of the board of directors of Barrick Gold Corporation. He recently served as chairman of the executive committee of the American Petroleum Institute’s general committee on finance and is a trustee of the Houston Museum of Natural Science. |
