Mr. Reisman is Co-Chair of the Firm’s Bankruptcy and Creditors’ Rights Department and participates in a wide range of domestic and international matters involving bankruptcy, restructuring and creditors’ rights on behalf of governmental, public company and private clients. Mr. Reisman has represented clients of the Firm in all facets of bankruptcy cases as well as insolvency issues in business transactions and out-of-court restructurings. Mr. Reisman has represented Chapter 11 debtors, Chapter 11 trustees, secured lenders, governmental entities, creditors’ committees, indenture trustees, liquidators, secured and unsecured creditors (including chairperson of creditors’ committees), shareholders, distressed investors, defendants in avoidance actions, as well as landlords and tenants in bankruptcy cases, investors seeking opportunities in Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases through the purchase of bankruptcy claims, acquisition of assets or as a proponent of a plan of reorganization. Mr. Reisman also has worked on several cross-border insolvency proceedings involving Mexico, Canada, Argentina and other countries. Mr. Reisman is admitted to the Bars of the States of New York and New Jersey and to the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, U.S. District Court of New Jersey, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Wisconsin, U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
