Lipstein joined BJC in October 1999. Previously, he served as executive vice president at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Health System and president and chief operating officer of the University of Chicago Hospitals. From 1982 to 1994, Lipstein held executive positions within The Johns Hopkins Hospital and Health System in Baltimore, finishing his tenure as the hospital's vice president for administration.
Lipstein serves on the Board of Trustees for Washington University in St. Louis, the Board of Directors of Voluntary Hospitals of America (VHA), the Administrative Board of the Council of Teaching Hospitals (American Association of Medical Colleges), the Missouri Hospital Association Board and the Board of Directors of the United Way of Greater St. Louis Inc. In addition, Lipstein serves on the Regional Business Council and the St. Louis Regional Health Commission, currently holding the office of Treasurer. He is on the Board of the St. Louis Regional Chamber and Growth Association, and serves as the vice chair for public policy. |
