Steven Goldby has served as a member of our board of directors since 2001. Mr. Goldby has served as Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Symyx Technologies, Inc., a material sciences company from 1998 to June 2007, when he became Executive Chairman. From 1982 to 1997, Mr. Goldby served as Chief Executive Officer of MDL Information Systems, Inc. From 1968 to 1973, Mr. Goldby held various management positions at ALZA Corporation, including President of ALZA Pharmaceuticals. In October 2007, Mr. Goldby joined Venrock Associates, a venture capital firm, as a Partner. Mr. Goldby holds a B.S. in chemistry from the University of North Carolina and a J.D. from Georgetown University Law School. |
