Mr. Skolsky brings more than 25 years of US and international commercial and clinical development experience to his role as Chief Executive Officer of Trimeris. Mr. Skolsky came to Trimeris from GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), where he most recently managed product strategy and worldwide clinical development for the GSK portfolio as Senior Vice President, Global Commercial Strategy. Mr. Skolsky had previously served as Managing Director of operations for GSK in New Zealand and Australia, successively. Mr. Skolsky's previous leadership as Vice President of Sales and Marketing of the HIV/Oncology division at Glaxo Wellcome, Inc. firmly grounded his expertise in HIV. While there, he oversaw the launch of some of the most successful HIV drugs Epivir® and Combivir®. Mr. Skolsky is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. |
