Mr. Eimert is a Partner in Sherin and Lodgen LLP's Business Law Department, where he focuses on the organization, financing and ongoing representation of private companies. His clients include businesses in manufacturing, energy, timberland investment and management, real estate, and technology. Mr. Eimert also represents a number of credit unions in a wide array of matters, including internal governance, specialized finance/capital-raising, CUSO-based ancillary business lines and regulatory affairs.
Mr. Eimert has special expertise in new markets tax credits, acquisition and disposition of private companies and business lines, timberland investment and property management arrangements and buy-sell arrangements among founding owners and planning for intergenerational ownership and management transitions of private companies. He also advises clients on executive compensation strategies (including insurance-funded SERPS), shareholder disputes and workplace issues, and the creation and operation of non-profit foundations.
Mr. Eimert received his B.A., summa cum laude, from Boston College in 1979, and his J.D., magna cum laude, in 1982 from Boston College Law School, where he was a member of the Law Review. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Omicron Delta Epsilon (International Economics) and Order of the Coif (Law) honor societies as well as an associate member of the Massachusetts Credit Union League. He serves as a trustee of certain charitable foundations and is a member of the Masconomet Regional District School Committee serving Boxford, Middleton, and Topsfield, Massachusetts. Mr. Eimert is admitted to practice before the State and Federal courts in Massachusetts. |
