Steven Sauer joined Toshiba Business Solutions New York in 1995. Under his leadership the former struggling $10 million business has grown to a profitable $40 million company.
Steven previously served as second vice president at Chase Manhattan Bank and assistant vice president at Fleet Bank.
With a strong commitment to the community, Steven serves on the boards of Genesee Regional Bank, Unity Health System as Vice Chairman, Geneseo Foundation, Seneca Park Zoo Society, and Canfield and Tack, an employee-owned company; and he also serves on the advisory board for FM Resources, and is a Rochester youth travel hockey coach. In addition, over the years Steven has been Chairman of the Unity Health Foundation board of directors, Past President of the Mental Health Association, board member of the Small Business Council of Greater Rochester Metro Chamber of Commerce, member of SUNY Geneseo John Wiley Jones School of Business Advisory Board, board member of Entrepreneurial Partnership for Nazareth College, and co-chairman of the Unity Health Golf Tournament.
In 2007, Steven was named Business Person of the Year from the Henrietta Chamber of Commerce for his commitment to the community, and he received the Jack Palvino award from the Heart of Gold Foundation for his contribution to youth sports. In 2006, his company was awarded the Rochester Business Ethics Award, and it earned Certified Dealer Status for Client Satisfaction by J. D. Power and Associates. Steven Sauer was awarded Small Business Person of the Year in 2002 by Rochester’s Chamber of Commerce, and was also awarded Upstate NY Finalist for Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year award in 2003. He is also a recipient of the Rochester Business Journal’s 40 under 40 award, and was awarded Volunteer of the Year by the Mental Health Association.
Steven holds his MBA in International Business from the Rochester Institute of Technology and a BS in Business Administration from the State University of New York College at Geneseo. He is a 2003 graduate of Harvard Business School's Executive Education Program. |
