Steven A. Raymund is Chairman of Tech Data's Board of Directors. He served as Tech Data's CEO for 20 years, retiring from the position and remaing non-executive chairman of the board in 2006. He began his career with the company in 1981 - the same year the microcomputer industry was born. From his original position as operations manager, Steve moved up to become chief operating officer in 1984. He was named CEO in 1986, and in 1991 was appointed chairman of the board of directors.
Steve completed his undergraduate work at the University of Oregon, earning a B.S. in economics in 1978. He earned a master's degree in international politics in 1980 from the Georgetown University School of Foreign Service. Steve is also a member of the board of directors for Jabil Circuit Inc. |
