Steve Wallin is a Senior Consultant with PivotHealth Consulting, LLC, a physician practice management company based in Brentwood, Tennessee.
Wallin has more than 20 years of experience in senior health care management in both the private and academic health care industry. Â His experience includes all aspects of health care leadership, such as large medical group physician practice management, managed care health plan startup and management, revenue cycle improvement, information/technology system implementation and conversions and healthcare consulting.
RELEVANT EXPERIENCE
Provided leadership as President and CEO of Wallin Healthcare Strategies, Inc., a healthcare consulting firm in Newport Coast, Calif., where he generated more than $1 million worth of new business in the first year on behalf of clients.
Served as Executive Director with Tulane University Medical Group in New Orleans, La., where he was responsible for the successful clinic redesign effort resulting in improvements in front-end processes such as insurance ineligibility verification, registration accuracy, and pre-certification and authorization.
Served as COO of the University of California-Irvine (UCI) Health Systems in Irvine, Calif., where he installed and executed the successful conversion to an integrated managed care information system for Claims Administration, Utilization Management & Quality Improvement and Member Services.
