Steve joined The Brenner Group in 2007 and brings over 22 years of financial and management experience in both public accounting and the private sector. Steve’s areas of expertise include finance, management, budgeting, tax, audits, legal and human resources. He has worked for a variety of companies in the software, service, distribution and manufacturing industries, and has broad experience in managing and directing growth in early stage ventures. While Steve’s focus has been on driving revenues and managing revenue goals, cost control and projections, he is also skilled in managing banking, audit, legal and client relationships, and communicating issues to outside investors. Before joining The Brenner Group, Steve served as Chief Financial Officer for a mobile entertainment company where he oversaw that company’s rapid expansion from $7 million to over $30 million in revenues. Prior to that, he was CFO for StarMine, Inc., a financial services software company, where he was instrumental in raising Series C funding by successfully presenting projections and due diligence. As a result, the round was closed in a four-week period from start to finish. Before StarMine, Steve served as CFO at Remacs formerly Radiant Systems, Inc. where he reorganized the company’s finance and operations areas by developing internal reporting systems and budgets, as well as attracting capital and improving efficiencies. He also successfully negotiated and completed the sale of Remacs to Radiant Systems at a substantial premium to the founding stockholders. Prior to Remacs, Steve held a variety of senior financial management positions at various firms and organizations. Steve earned a B.B.A degree in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude, from Dowling University. |
