As the TRS Chief Information Officer, Steve Sedlmeyer is responsible for developing and overseeing TRS’s corporate-wide technical initiatives and direction. Steve also leads the company’s Technical Council, which is used to assess, identify and develop cutting-edge technologies to meet specific client needs. Steve began his career in 1985 developing analytic databases and tools for the CIA. He spent a total of almost 10 years there focused on very large text databases, analytic tools to support exploitation of large bodies of textual data and evaluating and integrating new technology into existing systems. At the end of 1994 Steve left the government to become part of the start up team of Didax, Inc, a company focused on both public access online services and group communications and automation tools for private sector and non-profit customers. Didax evolved into Crosswalk.com as the internet boom developed and Steve served there first as Chief Scientist then as SR. Vice President and CTO. At Crosswalk Steve focused on the development of systems focused on the development and delivery of mixed media content targeted at web based delivery. This included extensive work with Content Management Systems as well as the development of a proprietary web portal system. In 2003 Steve left Crosswalk.com following its sale to join General Dynamics Inc. (formally Creative Technology Inc.) and re-entered the Intelligence community. Since then he has focused on products supporting the creation of all types of intelligence products as well as tools to support the intelligence collection process. Steve joined TRS in 2007 where he continues to pursue solutions to the problems facing the intelligence community in the post 9/11 era. |
