Steve Schiro is corporate vice president of Home and Retail Division. The group’s charter is to maximize sales of products and services to consumers through retail and mass-market distribution channels.
Schiro joined Microsoft in March 1995, bringing 20 years of computer software sales and marketing experience from various positions at Intuit Inc., Borland International Inc. and Ansa Software. He has been involved in both North American and international software sales efforts, and began his professional career in the consumer marketing industry working for Procter & Gamble Co.
Schiro holds a bachelor of economics degree from Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif. He served on the board of directors of the Software Publishers Association from 1995 to 1997. He currently serves on several industry and local area boards, including the Gartner Groups Retail Advisory Board, the Seattle Sports and Events Council and the Consumer Products Council, an independent vendor association for the retail industry. |
