Steve has been active in partnering with technology and life sciences clients for more than 20 years. Having launched Woodruff-Sawyer's Life Sciences Practice, he has been instrumental in taking it to its current position as one of the country's largest. Under Steve s leadership, Woodruff-Sawyer was selected by the Biotechnology Industry Organization (BIO) as its West Coast risk management partner. Steve works with organizations from new venture formation through IPO and has also been extensively involved in addressing Directors & Officers Liability needs of public company clients as part of Woodruff-Sawyer s D&O practice. Steve is currently a member of the Board of Directors for BayBio, the biotechnology trade organization for Northern California, and The Foundation for the Future, a foundation which addresses special student needs and extra-budgetary funding for local high school education. He is also the Vice Chairman of Oasis Africa Foundation, a venture dedicated to AIDS education and trauma relief in Africa. Steve earned a bachelor's degree from Stanford University and an MBA from Northwestern University s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He has also earned the designation of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU). |
