Steve McAleavy is Executive Vice-President and an equity owner in Manhattan Resources. Steve has 15 years experience in recruiting, (12 years in the energy industry) and has recruited in the de-regulated energy industry since 1995. Steve has spoken extensively at conferences and conventions on all aspects regarding the attraction, recruitment, and retention of outstanding individuals in the Energy Industry. He has made many hundreds of placements in the power, gas, crude, etc. industries encompassing the front, middle and back-offices.

Steve received his degree in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He began his recruiting career with Search West in Los Angeles, earning "Rookie of the Year" honors. In 1990 Steve moved his family to Houston to pursue a Ph.D. in Political Science on a scholarship at Rice University. Finishing his course-work in 1994 after specializing in domestic policy and organizational theory, Steve elected to leave the program just shy of completing his dissertation and return to recruiting. Steve lives with his wife and two daughters in Houston.
