Steve Lindsey was named vice president and general manager for Chattanooga Gas and Atlanta Gas Light Operations on February 1, 2005. In his new position, Lindsey will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and market development of Chattanooga Gas and Atlanta Gas Light, which includes the following areas: Chattanooga, Tenn.; Northwest Georgia; Metro Atlanta; Conyers; Marietta; Cherokee; Newnan and West Georgia. He will also be responsible for executive oversight of Chattanooga Gas, including its operations, marketing and regulatory affairs.
Prior to this move, Lindsey served as vice president of operations for Chattanooga Gas.
Lindsey’s career at AGL Resources began in 1989. He has held a variety of positions within AGL Resources subsidiary Atlanta Gas Light, including: managing director marketing, new business & marketer services; managing director, field operations; manager, engineering & new construction supervisor; distribution engineer; and commercial and industrial representative.
Lindsey is a graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering. He is a member of the Rotary Club of Chattanooga and the Tennessee Gas Association.
