Steve Lauer has over 14 years of experience as in-house counsel overseeing acquisitions, joint ventures, sales, and litigation. Lauer joined Global Compliance in 2007 as Corporate Counsel wherein he manages the company?s legal affairs, is a regular conference speaker, and contributes numerous articles on ethics and compliance. Prior to joining Global Compliance, Lauer was the Director of Integrity Research at Integrity Interactive Corporation. Lauer has also had his own private practice where he consulted with law departments and law firms. Lauer served as in-house environmental counsel for the commercial real estate units of Presidential Insurance for seven years. Lauer was Deputy Editor and Publisher of The Metropolitan Corporate Counsel from 2001 to 2003 and serves as Vice Chair for Programs of the Corporate Counsel Committee and as Vice Chair of the Corporate Compliance Committee, both of the ABA Section of Business Law. Lauer earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from State University New York at Buffalo, graduating Summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He received his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center. |
