Active within the international biotechnology, high technology, and venture communities, Steve runs The Torran Group, a services company offering business development assistance to enterprises at the intersection of life science, material science, and technology. He has been part of the founding team for four technology ventures: Cambridge Interactive Systems, Molecular Simulations, OmniViz, and Manifest Technology. Steve serves on a number of advisory boards, including the Industrial Advisory Board for the Boston University Masters Bioinformatics program, and was the business advisor for the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory Proteomics Initiative team. Steve also participates in Launchpad Ventures, an angel investor group in Boston. Previously, he worked at Pharmacopeia, where he was the senior sales and marketing executive responsible for computational chemistry startup, Accelrys. Steve holds a BA honors in Biology from the University of York, England, and a graduate certificate in Administration & Management from Harvard University's extension school. |
