Steve Havens is a registered professional engineer, an Associate Value Specialist, and a Project Management Professional with 23 years experience in industrial design, project management, and Value Improving Practices (VIPs). He has a strong background in product development, manufacturing, and vendor solicitation and selection for a variety of manufacturing corporations.
Mr. Havens completed over 150 sessions and developed 12 VIPs for Kraft Foods as their Value Improving Tools Program Manager. These VIPs are proven effective for delivering improved project delivery through better team alignment, accelerated speed to market, reduced cost, and improved focus on meeting customer satisfaction. The 12 practices include VE, Design Approach, VE Risk Assessment, VE Peer Assist, VE Process Simplification, Design to Capacity, Technology Selection, Energy Optimization, Waste Minimization, Facilitated Work Breakdown Structure Exercise, Commercialization Alignment, and Project Health Check.
Steve Havens strengthens LZA’s VIP services and industrial base. Prior to his experience at Kraft Foods, he worked for Gillette Stationery Products Group, Parker Pen U.S.A., Ltd., Rayovac Corporation, and Kimberly Clark Corporation. His Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering is from the University of Wisconsin. |
