Steve leads Global Sales, Business Development and Marketing teams for SmartAnalyst and is based in New York City. Prior to joining SMARTANALYST, Steve's tenure in London with Barclays Capital and Mobil Oil as a technical analyst was followed by operational management roles at Fii Group Plc. handling logistics, procurement and merchandising. Steve was tapped by Gideon Gartner to lead the development of the Giga Information Group's UK sales efforts, and over a three year period grew revenues to $20M. He made the transition to Giga's US headquarters in 1999 to lead sales efforts across North America, concentrating on Business Development with strategic customers. Mr. Girling leveraged strong client relationships to transform the user experience of Giga’s products and services. He successfully led the Eastern region sales team and supported Giga's acquisition and subsequent integration by Forrester Research in 2002. He recently led Sales & Marketing for MaxQ Technologies, a Microsoft business applications partner and Evalubase Research, a benchmarking company. Steve holds a BS in Information Systems Management with Honors from Bournemouth University in England. Steve is an accomplished sailor and has competed at an international level, around the globe over the last fifteen years |
