Steve Dorritie joined the Long Island office of NorthMarq Capital in 2006 after nearly two decades of progressive experience in the mortgage and real estate business. Before co-founding a private investment fund in 2002, Steve held industry related positions at New York Life, Merrill Lynch, O'Connor Realty Advisors, KUD International and TIAA-CREF. The scope and depth of these varied experiences added valuably to his professional development. Steve’s uncommon mix of diverse skills and competencies have been shaped through significant transactional experience in the areas of debt and equity finance, acquisitions, asset management, development, and market research. In his current capacity, Steve draws heavily from these past successes to ensure the entirety of his resources are brought to bear when addressing the myriad of financing alternatives available to his clients (senior debt, subordinated debt, preferred equity, joint-ventures, bridge loans, owner-occupied and sale-leaseback arrangements, operating company investments, credit lease deals and so forth). Steve is a graduate of Columbia University with an M.S. in Real Estate Development as well as Cornell University with a B.S. in Applied Economics and Management. Prior to transferring to Cornell, Steve attended Rutgers University where he played soccer for the Scarlet Knights. He and his wife reside in Nassau County with their 3 sons. |
