Steve Czarnecki has worked with the Grants and Fellowship programs since 1997. A USGA Fellow from 1997-1999, he worked primarily with programs in the Central Region. In the third year of his Fellowship, he served as program director for the Daniel Murphy Scholarship Foundation's summer caddie program in Chicago.
A native of St. Louis, Czarnecki graduated from the University of Missouri in 1997 with degrees in both Management and Marketing. Introduced to the game of golf through caddieing, Czarnecki attended MIZZOU on an Evans Scholarship, a college scholarship for caddies. He served as President of the Missouri Evans Scholar Chapter and was awarded the 1997 National Evans Scholar Leader of the Year.
Czarnecki's responsibilities principally revolve around the USGA's Grants Program and the coordination of the Fellow's work in this effort. He also enjoys working in the administration of USGA National Championships whenever possible. Besides enhancing his management skills, Czarnecki's desire is to expand opportunity in people's lives through the game of golf.
