Steve Craddock is Senior Vice President of New Media Development for Comcast Corporation. He is responsible for Comcast's evaluation and development of new interactive and multimedia technologies and services, and the integration of those technologies and services into new businesses within Comcast's corporate infrastructure. Mr. Craddock has led Comcast's initial activities on High-Speed Data-over-Cable, PC Cable Modems, Advanced Home Networking, IP Telephony, Networked Gaming and Interactive Television (ITV). He is also Comcast's representative to CableLabs for industry initiatives such as DOCSIS, PacketCable, CableHome and Streaming Media. Prior to his current position, Mr. Craddock was Vice President for Broadband Network Ventures for Bell Atlantic Corporation and a principle figure in Bell Atlantic's Cable Television and Interactive Television development activities. His career with Bell Atlantic spanned over 20 years, with a diverse background in engineering, operations, marketing, strategic planning and executive level positions spanning all facets of video, voice and data communications. Concurrent with his Bell Atlantic career, Mr. Craddock was President of a software development company for 10 years. Mr. Craddock graduated with High Honors and was a Distinguished Military Graduate from the Virginia Military Institute with a BSCE/EE. He did graduate work in Finance and Economics at Iowa State University and holds a Masters Degree in Computer Systems. He is a registered Professional Engineer and a member of the Society of Professional Engineers, the Society of Cable Television Engineers (SCTE) and Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM). |
