Steve's background includes over 30 years of experience in finance and accounting. Steve most recently served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Initiatives and Treasurer for WCI Communities from 1996 to 2007, with full responsibility for corporate level and project financing, income and property taxes, cash and risk management, including significant involvement in capital market transactions, bank financing, land acquisitions, corporate mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures. Steve previously served as Vice President of Finance and Accounting for Inco Homes Corporation, a publicly-held homebuilding company. Steve managed the financial and accounting operations which included: accounting and financial reporting, financing and lending relationships, strategic planning, management information systems and administration. From 1981 to 1993, Steve was employed with Kenneth Leventhal and Company. As Partner, Steve planned, performed and reviewed audit, tax and consulting engagements including, workouts and debt restructurings, and strategic planning; supervised staff of up to 125 people; dealt with regulatory agencies (SEC, RTC and IRS); and structured transactions and performed due diligence for securitizations, acquisitions and dispositions.Steve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the State University of New York at Binghamton. |
