Steve Keen was named vice president and treasurer of IDACORP and Idaho Power in May 2006.
Prior to that he was president of IDACORP Financial, a wholly-owned investment subsidiary of IDACORP focused primarily on tax-advantaged investments.
Keen started his career at Idaho Power in 1982 in the Property Accounting Department. He later moved into the area of tax and worked as Tax Accountant, Property Tax Representative and Tax Research Analyst before attaining the position of Tax Director. He also served as interim CFO for IdaTech during most of 2001.
Keen is a CPA, licensed in the State of Idaho. He graduated with High Honors in 1981 from Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho with a BBA in Accounting. He is immediate past president and a member of the board of directors of the Idaho Society of CPAs (ISCPA). He is also a past president and current member of the board of governors of the Affordable Housing Investor’s Council, past chairman and a current member of the board of directors for the Associated Taxpayers of Idaho and a current member of the board of directors for the Idaho Tax Foundation. He was named the Outstanding CPA in Business and Industry for 1999 by the ISCPA.
