Steve M. Whaley is vice president, general tax counsel and assistant treasurer for The Coca-Cola Company.
Mr. Whaley joined the Company in May 1984 as tax attorney of the Entertainment Sector. He has served as senior tax counsel for various parts of the Company's operations and as executive assistant to the chief financial officer. He was elected vice president and general tax counsel in October 1996.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Whaley was a manager at the accounting firm of Coopers and Lybrand.
He serves on the Board of Directors or Advisory Board of a number of tax organizations, including Financial Executives, Tax Council, Tax Executive Roundtable, and BNA.
Mr. Whaley graduated from Michigan State University and received his law degree from Wayne State University. He is also a certified public accountant. |
