Sterling has had a long career in public accounting, predominantly as a principal in his own firm. In addition to starting his own firm and subsequently Malone & Bailey, he acted as a controller for a local Houston-based physical therapy service company. Prior to his career in public accounting, Sterling served active duty in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. His educational achievements include a BS from the University of Houston and a BS from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston.As a part of his commitment to his career, his profession and his community, Sterling is an active member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Texas Society of CPAs, as well as a member of the Optimist Club. He has been involved in various youth sports as an enthusiastic coach and is a dedicated volunteer for the Habitat Homes Construction. |
