Stephen Vetter is a Director with CTPartners, a premier executive search firm committed to performance, quality and results. A former human resources executive, Steve works closely with companies to reinvigorate the human resources function with key leadership. Steve is a member of the firm’s Human Resources Practice. He recruits human resources executives capable of implementing creative strategies and programs for clients in a variety of industries. Steve identifies talent for companies undergoing major transitions, such as growth and downturns, acquisitions, global expansions, and other situations requiring highly specialized expertise to evolve culture change. Drawing on previous industry experience, his practice also includes a specialization in the media/entertainment industry. Previously, Steve was Director of Human Resources for Scripps Networks (HGTV, Food Network, DIY, Fine Living, and GAC), where he was involved in all aspects of the human resources function. Specific responsibilities included recruitment, employee relations, compensation, and training and development. While with Scripps, Steve worked on several HR programs that ultimately earned him the prestigious President’s Award for outstanding performance. He also held human resources roles with Wenner Media, LLC (Rollingstone, US Weekly, and Men’s Journal) and Miller Freeman, Inc. /VNU Business Media. Steve began his corporate career as a Human Resources Generalist with Group Health Incorporated (GHI), New York’s largest health care provider. Steve received a bachelor’s degree in Industrial and Labor Relations from The Pennsylvania State University. He is based in the firm’s New York headquarters. |
