Stephen joined National Capital in early 2005. He was previously a founding general partner of SpaceVest, a private equity firm, from 1993 until 2004. Prior to SpaceVest, Stephen was a principal in a buyout partnership for the re-start of McMartin, Inc., an electronic manufacturing company, and was a co-founder and a principal of Coastal Financial Corporation, a middle-market buyout and turnaround company. He was previously a Vice President and member of the board of Western Tar Sands, Inc., an alternative energy supply company.
Earlier in his career he was associated with System Development Corporation (now part of Unisys), International Energy Associates Limited (now part of Ogden) and Booz|Allen|Hamilton.
Stephen holds a BA in International Financial Economics from the Institute of Political Sciences, Paris, France; an MBA in Industrial Marketing and Finance from the Graduate School of Business Administration, Chamber of Commerce of Paris, France; and a PhD in Systems and Energy Analysis from Cornell University. |
