Stephen Meer is the cofounder and chief technology officer of Intrado Inc., a global provider of emergency communications infrastructure and services. An expert in public safety communications, Mr. Meer has made significant contributions to the advancement of the nation’s 9-1-1 network. He is also actively involved with the development of 9-1-1 public policy and is a valued advisor to government and industry organizations such as the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the National Emergency Number Association (NENA), and the U.S. Department of Transportation.
Mr. Meer is a charter-certified Emergency Number Professional (ENP), RCA Fellow, and an active member of NENA, APCO International, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and the National Sheriff’s Association. In 2005 Mr. Meer received the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for Technology. |
