Stephen Manzi is Executive Vice President at Changing Our World, and has worked as a fundraising professional since 1982. Steve began his career at the Archdiocese of New York, where he guided capital campaigns and increased offertory programs at churches throughout the Archdiocese. He also directed fundraising efforts at dozens of parishes during the 1983 and 1984 annual Archdiocesan Cardinal’s Appeals. As a consultant, Steve has conducted capital campaigns, annual fund programs, and strategic planning efforts for a diverse group of social service, educational, community development, and religious organizations that has included Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Brooklyn, The Boys’ Club of New York, Stevens Institute of Technology, The Horticultural Society of New York, Hope Community, and Good Shepherd Services. During his tenure with Changing Our World, Steve has managed major planning and fundraising efforts for numerous institutions, including the College of Mount Saint Vincent, the New York School for the Deaf, the Church of the Ascension, Xavier High School, East Harlem Tutorial Program, the New York Province of the Society of Jesus, Western Connecticut State University, Nativity Mission Center, the Innocence Project, Casey Family Programs, and the Maryknoll Fathers and Brothers. As a volunteer, Steve serves on the Board of Directors of The Nonprofit Connection, a nonprofit provider of technical assistance services to New York-based not-for-profit organizations. He is also a Board member and Officer of the oversight committee for his local community’s Boy Scouts organization. Steve received a Bachelor’s degree from Hofstra University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and a Master’s degree from New York University. He lives in Pleasantville, New York, with his wife and two sons. |
