Stephen Gaines joined KPMG Corporate Finance in 1993. He took over as the head of the corporate finance business in June of 2001. Stephen possesses over 20 years of corporate finance experience serving a broad range of industries with a focus on business services.
Stephen's experience covers a wide range of corporate finance transactions including mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, financings, strategic assessments, board advisory assignments, and restructurings. Additionally, he has advised both private and public companies on transaction strategies and execution.
Prior to joining the investment banking industry, Stephen worked in the leveraged lending division of a multi-billion dollar regional bank where he underwrote and managed numerous leveraged transactions including management buyouts, leveraged lease transactions, debtor-in-possession financings, mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and debt restructurings.
Stephen holds an M.B.A. from the University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland and a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Dickinson College in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. |
