Stephen W. Mellor joined the Woodmen of the World Board of Directors when he was named Executive Vice President, Finance and Treasurer on September 1, 2000. He retired from that position on May 1, 2004, but continues to serve on the Board as a Director. Prior to his retirement, Mellor served as President of WFS Holdings, Inc., and was a member of the Board of Directors of Woodmen Financial Services, Inc., a Woodmen of the World subsidiary. Mellor graduated from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a degree in business. He began his Woodmen of the World career in August 1967 in the Investment Division. In February 1972, he was promoted to Mortgage Loan Department Manager and in March 1980 was named an Assistant Vice President. In August 1989, Mellor was promoted to Vice President and Investment Division Manager. Mellor is a Certified Mortgage Banker and Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Salvation Army; a past president of the Investment Section of the National Fraternal Congress of America (NFCA); and past chairman of the NFCA Investment Management and Evaluation Committee. He is a past president of Omaha Lodge 16 and served as Nebraska Jurisdictional President from 1985 to 1987. |
