A native of the Boston area and student of Northeastern University, Steve landed his first engineering job after graduation with Engineers Design Group (EDG), the firm that he worked for during his co-op program. Steve left to join Ganteaume & McMullan, located in Boston just down the street from idGroup's current address, for a period of time before rejoining EDG. At EDG, he obtained his professional registration and worked on local projects such as the Exchange Building (53 State Street) and the Four Seasons Hotel.
In 1982 Steve accepted a position at Carlson in Cochituate, MA as a Senior Structural Engineer. He would spend over twenty years working for Carlson, working his way from the Structural Group Manager, Project Manager to Operations Manager of the Boston Office. During this time, Steve traveled to 27 states and three countries working on Carlson projects. These included a three-month assignment at the King Saud University Facility Housing Project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and a trip to Norway to review design progress on a Sandy Pond AC/DC Converter Station project being built by ABB in Ayer, Massachusetts. In 2001, Steve volunteered to be part of a corporate training team and traveled to the various company offices creating, teaching and establishing management procedures for Carlson. Steve is one of the founding principals of idGroup, and presently serves as the Operations Manager for the company.
