Description of Practice:
Stephen R. Thames is a partner with over 22 years' experience as a trial lawyer in business and real estate-related litigation. While resident in the Orange County office for the past 20 years, Mr. Thames' active business litigation practice frequently takes him throughout the State of California and beyond, where he has successfully represented the firm's clients in a variety of forums including state and federal courts and alternative dispute resolution settings such as mediations, mini-trials, arbitrations and judicial reference proceedings. Although he has represented a variety of clients in hundreds of complex business and real estate-related disputes, Mr. Thames has developed particular expertise in the areas of secured creditor and lender liability litigation, commercial real estate purchase disputes, construction litigation, commercial landlord/tenant matters and insurance coverage/bad faith litigation.
Mr. Thames is actively involved in community activities in the City of Irvine.
Educational History:
Admitted to practice in 1982, Mr. Thames received his bachelor of arts degree in 1978 from the University of California at Davis and his J.D. degree in 1982 from the UCLA School of Law. |
