Steve Lueke focuses his practice on labor and employment law and related litigation on behalf of management. Steve represents employers in all facets of labor and employment, particularly in the areas of labor negotiations, arbitrations, union organizing corporate campaigns, wage and hour matters and before the National Labor Relations Board. Steve also has extensive experience in advising employers on the labor/employment aspects of mergers and acquisitions, particularly in the hospitality industry. Steve held a number of positions with the NLRB's headquarters and field offices prior to entering private practice.
Steve is a member of the American and California Bar Associations' Labor and Employment Law Sections and currently serves on the American Bar Association's Committee on Practice and Procedure Before the NLRB. Steve was recently appointed to the California Industrial Welfare Commission's Wage Board for the State Public Housekeeping Industry (Wage Order 5). He also co-authored "Wage and Hour Laws," which is included in the CEB publication, Advising California Employers (2nd Edition, 1996). Steve is admitted to practice in all of California's state and federal courts, as well as in the Third, Fourth, Ninth and District of Columbia Circuit Courts of Appeal.
