Stephen N. Finger was named president of Sikorsky in 2003. Before joining Sikorsky, Hewas at Pratt & Whitney, where most recently he was responsible for manufacturing and engineering operations. He also simultaneously served as president of Pratt & Whitney's Military Engines, where he oversaw production and development programs, as well as business and customer support of the company's military offerings.
Finger jointed UTC in 1970. Prior to becoming president of Military Engines, he served as senior vice president of Operational Military Engines. Before that he served as senior vice president, Mid-Thrust Commercial Programs for the PW2000, JT8D and V2500.
He received a bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering from the University of Virginia and was a member of the Sloan Fellows Program, earning a master's degree in management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Finger is a member of American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Air Force Association. He holds two patents and received an Aviation Week Laurels Award in 1991. |
