Dr. Kahane an industry veteran with a track record of driving companies' growth and market leadership is the chief executive officer and chairman of AMICAS. Under Dr. Kahane's leadership and direction AMICAS has become one of the largest and most influential providers of IT solutions in the radiology market.
Previously Dr. Kahane was chief strategy officer and vice chairman of the board of directors for VitalWorks Inc. a leading provider of healthcare image and information management technology for physician office practices imaging centers hospitals and other healthcare provider organizations. Prior to VitalWorks he was CEO of Datamedic a healthcare technology firm specializing in electronic medical records and practice management software and services.
Dr. Kahane holds an M.S. in computer science from the Johns Hopkins University and an M.D. from Emory University. After completing his residency at Johns Hopkins he became their medical director of information systems and served on their faculty. |
