As Chief Operating Officer, Stephen Monfre is responsible for the company’s technology vision, providing extensive expertise in near-infrared spectroscopy and portable measurement technologies. Dr. Monfre came to Sensys Medical from The Foxboro Company where he led the product development of an infrared refrigerant monitor and provided key technology insight into the development of a portable infrared gas analyzer for industrial hygiene use. Previously, Dr. Monfre served as the Manager of Application Resources at FOSS-NIRSystems, Inc., a leading provider of near-infrared instrumentation to industry for quality and process control. Dr. Monfre holds a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, and a doctorate in Analytical Chemistry from the University of Delaware, where he studied under Professor Steven D. Brown, a leader in the field of chemometrics. |
