Dr. Houff is a founding member, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Hospitalists Management Group (HMG). Dr. Houff has been a practicing hospitalist since 1993, is a recognized leader in the Hospitalist Medicine field, a member of the Society of Hospitalist Medicine Workforce Task Force, and a charter member of the Phoenix Group a hospitalist medicine think tank group. He is a former Chief of Staff at Ohio State University Hospital East (UHE) where he is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Internal Medicine. Dr. Houff has participated extensively in Medical Staff leadership activities at UHE, where he served on the Medical Executive Committee and the UHE Hospital Board. Dr. Houff served as Chairman of the Quality Management Committee at UHE, responsible for clinical quality oversight and physician peer review activities. Dr. Houff is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He completed medical internship and residency at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center. He is a 1987 graduate of the University of Maryland School of Medicine. |
