Stephen L. Gordon is a partner and head of the Firm’s Tax Department. Steve’s practice focuses on advising clients on the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs and other restructurings, and corporate joint ventures. Steve also works with clients on issues related to corporate finance and domestic and international taxation.
Steve was born in Syracuse, New York. He joined Cravath in 1981 and became a partner in 1987. Steve has served as the Firm’s Hiring Partner and Managing Partner for Administration.
