Stephen J. Senkowski is president and chief executive officer of Armstrong Building Products, a division of Armstrong World Industries, headquartered in Lancaster, PA. Armstrong is a global leader in the design and manufacture of floors, ceilings and cabinets.
Mr. Senkowski is a member of Armstrong’s Office of the Chairman, which works to facilitate and manage change across lines of business and functional areas.
Mr. Senkowski was most recently senior vice president for Building Products, responsible for sales, marketing and new business in the Americas. Armstrong Building Products is a $750 million business with operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia. It has strong market leadership and brand identity in ceilings in part by developing innovative approaches to the use of suspended ceiling systems to provide customers with leading edge solutions in acoustical performance, humidity resistance and aesthetic appeal.
Prior to joining Building Products, Mr. Senkowski was president of Armstrong’s subsidiary Worthington Armstrong Venture (WAVE) a joint venture that manufactures grid suspension products. Under his tenure, the company became the market leader in grid suspension systems.
Mr. Senkowski’s career began with Armstrong in 1973 as an industrial engineer in its Marietta, Pennsylvania Ceiling Plant. He held leadership positions in its former carpet, insulation and wall panel organizations.
Mr. Senkowski is a graduate of Lehigh University. A native of Lancaster, he and his wife Sue, currently reside there. |
