Mr. Wills is a member of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group and concentrates his practice on electromechanical, software, and controls technologies. Mr. Wills received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Iowa State University in 1997. Upon graduation, Mr. Wills worked for several years in the oilfield for Schlumberger Oilfield Services. His experience there includes hydraulic fracture treatment, matrix acid treatment, reservoir analysis, and well logging plans and evaluation.
Mr. Wills joined Cummins Inc. in 2000 and worked as an electronic controls engineer, working on both engine and aftertreatment controls. His work experience included electronic components, algorithm design, dynamic controls, failure mode analysis, and catalytic component controls. He has about a dozen patents and patents pending as inventor and co-inventor.
Mr. Wills attended law school while working, and received his J.D. in August 2005 from the Indiana University School of Law Bloomington . Away from the office, Mr. Wills enjoys philosophy, basketball, tae kwon do, weightlifting, and strategy games. He lives in Columbus , IN with his wife, Barb, and their six children.
