Stephen Jarvis, co-founder and president of Positive Response Vision, Inc., Manila, a leading-edge infomercial-based direct response company, has been engaged in direct response marketing since 1984.
Mr. Jarvis was national sales manager for an Australian-based company that sold television promoted hardware and houseware products through key account retailers such as K-Mart and Target.
In 1984 he formed Direct Response Advertising, Inc. This firm specialized in generating and qualifying direct response leads for companies dealing in luxury consumer items in the $2,000 to $8,000 price range and in high priced building systems. The company also took several highly successful products to the Australian direct response market, the most notable being BetterBlocks, which were sold through both DRTV and all major Australian retailers.
In 1996 Mr. Jarvis took up residence in the Philippines, where he established Positive Response Vision, Inc. Under his leadership the company has grown to be the leading direct response marketing organization in the region. Staff numbers have grown from 3 to approximately 400 persons, and the company markets and distributes a vast range of products throughout South-East Asia. As president, Mr. Jarvis is responsible for product sourcing and acquisition, inventory, finance control and design issues. He also oversees the company's sales follow-up program.
Mr. Jarvis also produces infomercials in a private capacity and licenses them to Positive Response Vision, Inc. and to other international infomercial companies.
Mr. Jarvis is committed to continuing to play a pivotal role in the progress of ICTV, particularly in the international arena and utilizing his special knowledge of markets in Asian and Pacific Rim countries. |
