Stephen J. Crowe is vice president and chief financial officer of Chevron Corporation. He is responsible for the corporation's comptroller audit treasury tax and investor relations activities. He is also responsible for the finance function throughout the corporation.A California native Crowe earned a bachelor's degree in business administration in 1969 and a master's degree in business administration in 1970 both from the University of California at Berkeley.Before joining Chevron Crowe worked for the Center for Naval Analyses in Washington D.C. while serving in the U.S. Navy. Crowe joined Chevron in 1972 as an analyst on the M.B.A. Development Program and has held positions of increasing responsibility in the company's financial management. In 1990 he was appointed assistant comptroller of Chevron Corporation and was named Chevron Products Co.'s vice president of finance in 1992.Crowe was appointed comptroller of Chevron Corporation in 1996 and was elected a corporate vice president in 2000. He assumed his current responsibilities in 2005.Crowe was born in 1947. |
